The Radanites Ethos
Named for the Radhanites, the merchant network that connected worlds closed to each other.
Jewish merchants of the early Middle Ages, the Radhanites worked four routes that began in the Rhone Valley and ended on the coast of China. When Christendom and the Islamic world barred each other's traders, they were received in both. Nearly everything known of them comes from a single book, the Book of Roads and Kingdoms, written about 870 by Ibn Khordadbeh, the Caliph's postmaster and spymaster. We do not claim their lineage. We claim their standard.
A note from the founders
Radanites began with a private observation: the people who move things rarely meet in public, and the rooms where they do meet have grown crowded with performance. We wanted a quieter room. A network held together by vetting, discretion, and usefulness, where a conversation in one world (energy, capital, policy) can change the outcome in another. We grow slowly, by introduction and by application, and we decline more often than we accept. That restraint is the point.
